Everything starts with setting goals. Your goals for online marketing and of course your list building business should always lead to your desired income.
Let’s start with the goals first. Don’t you want to make more money while working fewer hours? Of course, you would say! There is not a single person who answered this question with NO. Every one of us wants to have more money in the bank while working fewer hours a week.
So the first question is: How much money do you want to make? This is really important, and all of your decisions from now on follow this answer.
Do you want to make a little bit of money, let’s say maybe $1,000 a month? Or do you strive to make a full-time income online, let’s say maybe $4,000 a month?
The reason I’m asking you all these questions is for your own good. Before you continue reading, make sure that you’ve answered these questions for yourself.
Obviously what you must have in place to not only generate docent of leads a day, but to keep them on your list is a great product. Focus on great quality. It’s better to just create 2 products a month than to create 5 low quality products. I think you get the picture now.
The next step is to set up a capture page and drive targeted traffic to it. Most gurus claim that you must get a 10% conversion rate on your capture page. Well, getting a 10% conversion rate is not hard and you can do that right from the get-go. You should shoot for at least a 30% opt-in rate (conversion rate) on your opt-in pages and squeeze pages. Let me tell you how this looks like in real business…
If you can drive 100% unique visitors to your squeeze page a day, you generate 30 leads (or opt-ins). Taking it further, you can probably get to this number by spending 1 to 2 hours a day, writing articles, posting threads on forums, and creating videos. Of course you don’t need to do all of these to generate 100 unique visitors a day and I recommend you focus on just one of these methods. Once you are in the flow, continue what you were doing and focus on a new traffic method. You will see that in no time you are driving 200, 300 and even 500 unique visitors to your website a day.
Think about it: What kind of difference would it make if you would generate 50 leads a day? Wouldn’t you be able to sell more of your products and programs? There’s only one way to find out…
