Tip for Online Coaches: Work on Growing Your List to Boost Your Sales

In any type of business, it’s crucial that you have a good relationship or at least, regular communication with your potential buyers otherwise, they will easily forget about you. You need to send them email and newsletters every week not just to help them but also to strengthen your “professional bond.” But this is something that you cannot do if you don’t have their contact information. It is for this reason that list building is extremely important.

List building is one crucial element of internet marketing and it’s something that you can’t just ignore. This is why I am writing this article. I wish to help you and other online coaches out there to create and eventually grow your list. The bigger your list is, the better your chances of making a sale. Here’s what you need to do:

First thing to do is to prove to your prospects that signing up to your newsletters is worth it. Give your potential clients a valid reason to sign up. Start by making your website and your blog as proofs of your in-depth knowledge. Fill them up with amazing information that only experts like you would know. Offer how-to guides, talk about the latest issues in your niche and give your opinion, answer burning questions, tell stories, or share your experiences. You would want your visitors to feel that they can really learn so much from you.

Drive qualified traffic to your blog and website. Next step is to attract as many interested online users as possible to your blog and website. The more traffic you attract, the better your chances of growing your list. I would recommend article marketing, blog and forum commenting, social media marketing, PPC advertising, search engine marketing, and other effective content based marketing solutions.

Make signing up a piece of cake. You don’t want to give your potential clients a hard time should they decide to sign up to your programs. Present them with easy-to-fill up forms the moment they open your website or before they leave. Make sure that you communicate the benefits of signing up to your list.

Offer freebies. Offering something for free is one of the keys to boost your sign up rate. Don’t worry as you don’t need to offer something expensive. In fact, short ebooks will do it. Just ensure that you make your potential clients understand that by accepting the free ebooks, they are allowing you to send them communications through email.

It’s not an obligation. People online would like to make sure that signing up to your list is not an obligation on their part. Tell these people that they can unsubscribe at anytime and that they can do it without questions asked. You don’t need to worry about the number of people who are opting out if you ensure that you provide all your subscribers valid reasons to stay. My tip is to always send newsletters that are not only useful but compelling as well.
