Having an email subscriber list is one of the basics for any internet marketer. With a list of people to promote to, you can sell your affiliate products, your coaching services, eBooks, and much more. It is a fast effective way to spread your brand name and build a reputation for quality in any business.
But how do you get these loyal email subscribers?
Basically it comes down to two things: content and promotion. Write great content and promote the heck out of it.
The writing takes time (unless you outsource it) and the promotion takes money (unless you do it yourself) but the results will be worth it in the end.
They say that having an effective, growing email list is about 20% content and 80% promotion. Getting great content is the easy part (that’s what I’m for, right?) but what about the promotion aspect?
To get those loyal subscribers you need to:
drive the high target traffic to your site
convert that traffic into subscribers/sales
encourage those subscribers to promote & share your site’s content
So, how do you do that?
You need to plan your site’s content and hone your message, crafting it carefully until practically every aspect of your site screams it out like a mantra. Every visitor to your site should leave knowing EXACTLY what you are all about. To the point where your message echoes through their brains.
Think about it.
Every marketing plan through history has been boiled down into a tag line that can be repeated by customers like an ear worm.
Think back to all the advertising you have heard on TV or the radio in the past 50 years. Chances are, you can recall jingles to products that do not even exist any more. The advertisers of the past knew the secret.
Get into their brains and you will get their business.
Ask yourself what your customers want. Then deliver.
Notice I said WANT, not need.
Their wants will trump their needs every time.. Make them want what you have, show them how much you can satisfy those wants and you will be theirs.
Become an evangelist for your product or brand, spreading the good news of your service, and your subscribers will share your message with others. Put some passion into your product and people will become drawn to your message. And when they do, make sure you reward them: coupons, eBooks, contests, giveaways. People will gladly re-Tweet or share when they can receive a gift for doing so.
Create a passionate and lively place where people’s wants are satisfied and you will have loyal subscribers for years.
