OTOs are D-E-A-D!

otos are dead

I know what you are thinking: “Oh no, not another one using the “dead” word to attract our attention!”

Well, this time, it IS true and I am not going to retract it 10 sentences later.

First of all, I think a lot of marketers out there have forgotten what OTO stands for.

OTO = ONE TIME Offer.

When was the last time you bought the FE (front end offer) and you were not able to buy the allegedly “OTOs” in the members area or from your welcome email?

In other words, there are not offered ONE TIME they are offered multiple times and are available on an ongoing basis.

So, why not call them what they are, i.e. OAOs! Ongoing Available Offers.

As you can see, I am true to my words and OTOs are really dead! 🙂

Let’s move on to the useful, juicy tips of this post.

4 Questions to Ask Yourself before Clicking on the Add to Cart Button:

Here are the 4 questions I always ask myself before even considering buying a new product:

  1. Do I really need this NOW? In other words, can I implement the method or use the software THIS week to help me reach my goals faster?
  2. Will this product or service be a MPA (Money Producing Activity) that I can add to my daily routine?
  3. Do I have something similar in my toolbox that I could use instead? Let’s be honest, over a year, the same type of products will be launched multiple times. So if you buy every shiny objects that land in your inbox, there is a pretty good chance that you bought something similar in the past and you barely used it.
  4. Do I really need the unlimited version? Will you really use 3 millions images in your lifetime????? Seriously… think about it. This kind of offers cracks me up each time.

Test the Front End Offer BEFORE buying the whole damn store!

Now that you know that you will be able to buy the “OTOs” later on. Why not test the front end product or service and see if it will really be useful and something that you can add to your daily or weekly routine.

Beware However!

If OTOs are dead, the price increases after the launch period of the products are true “most of the time”.

SO, if you really need (remember Question 1 above) that product, get it the first day it is launched and test it asap.

You will know quickly if the front end is good enough to help you reach your goals.
